Residential Care Home in the Heart of Wakefield

Where confidence grows, routines settle, and independence takes shape.

Sandal is a welcoming residential home in a quiet area of Wakefield, offering a calm and supportive place for adults with a learning disability and autism, including those with more complex needs. Life here is shaped around feeling safe, settled and truly at home, with 24 hour support available.

The main house includes eight ensuite bedrooms, two comfortable shared lounges and a bright kitchen diner. Outside, a large garden offers space to relax, socialise or enjoy fresh air. Some bedrooms are on the ground floor, with additional accessible bathing facilities.

Sandal also has access to four self-contained flats with a separate entrance, offering an important step for people building confidence and moving towards greater independence.
Guided by our Strive model of support, care focuses on choice, capability and meaningful routines, supporting each person to grow at their own pace.
