The long-standing and experienced team support adults with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, and mental health.
The service has 7 en-suite bedrooms and provides twenty four hour support. All colleague are NAPPI (Non Abusive Physical and Psychological Interventions) trained and use the NAPPI red and green scale to maintain positive influence on each service user, with a view to minimising the level and frequency of challenging behaviour. The people we support may have spent long periods of time in a hospital setting or may have additional complex needs including sensory impairments and communication difficulties.
The service has two communal lounges, kitchen and dining areas and large outside space with a lawn area. There is a shared bathroom on the ground floor, as well as a shared bathroom upstairs in addition to the ensuite shower rooms. There are two downstairs room available for disabled access. The people we support also have access to a quiet communal lounge where they can use a computer or enjoy watching films.
We enjoy a variety of different activities such as regular trips to the petting farm, visits to Blackpool and Lytham St. Annes which are only a short drive or train journey away. We take trips to the cinema and afternoon tea. We’re proud of our garden and we won 3rd place at this year’s ‘In Bloom’ competition for our colourful small project.
