Gilbert Lodge is in Hucknall close to local shops, leisure centres, pubs, and a golf course. The service is very close to the Hucknall town centre and a fifteen-minute bus journey from Nottingham.

The service has 5 en-suite bedrooms and provides twenty four hour support. All colleagues are NAPPI (Non Abusive Physical and Psychological Interventions) trained and use the NAPPI red and green scale to maintain positive influence on each service user, with a view to minimising the level and frequency of challenging behaviour. The people we support may have spent long periods of time in a hospital setting or may have additional complex needs including sensory impairments and communication difficulties.

The service has communal lounges, kitchen and dining areas and large outside space with a lawn area. There is a shared bathroom on the ground floor, as well as a shared bathroom upstairs in addition to the ensuite shower rooms. There is one downstairs room available for disabled access. The people we support also have access to a quiet communal lounge where they can use a computer or enjoy watching films

New College Nottingham is just a ten-minute drive away and work placements are available with local community projects and include skills such as woodwork, cycle repair, and gardening. We have communal lounges, kitchen and dining areas, and a large outside space with a lawn area. There’s also a quiet communal lounge to watch movies or use a computer.
