Our new service, Erdington, is a lovely house made up from four individual flats. The flats would suit people with a learning disability, autism and / or a mental health diagnosis. Each flat has its own lounge, diner, kitchen and ensuite bedroom. The flats are fully equipped for independent living, and with plenty of space, they can accommodate people with a higher level of needs.
Two of the properties have a shared garden and the downstairs flats have their own garden. Each flat includes white goods and furniture if required. There are several parking spaces to the front of the property.
Our colleagues are trained in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and can support a variety of communication preferences. The people we support are encouraged to take part in activities within the service as well as in their local community. The support team will work with the person to fulfil their own goals such as getting involved in community groups, volunteer work, college courses or other activities of interest to promote their health and wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity in a newly renovated property.
We are looking to support people who want to live independently. People who are kind, caring and want to create a friendly home environment to develop in their daily living skills and be a part of a caring community.
Erdington is located in Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK, with great transport links due to its central location. Erdington and Chester Road train stations are just 5 minutes drive from the property and there are shops, restaurants, bars and parks all conveniently close by.
