The team supports adults with a Learning Disability who may have dual diagnoses and associated complex needs. Inside there are communal areas as well as a quiet lounge for movie nights. Outside they have a large space with a garden area.
The service has 8 en-suite bedrooms and provides twenty-four-hour support. There is a self-contained flat within the residential service for individuals that would benefit from high levels of support in their own environment.
The service has multiple communal lounges, kitchen and dining areas and large outside space with a garden area. There is a shared bathroom on the ground floor, as well as a shared bathroom upstairs in addition to the ensuite shower rooms. There is a downstairs flat available for disabled access. The people we support also have access to a quiet communal lounge where they can use a computer or enjoy in house activities.
All colleagues are NAPPI (Non Abusive Physical and Psychological Interventions) trained and use the NAPPI red and green scale to maintain positive influence on each service user, with a view to minimising the level and frequency of challenging behaviour.
