Chippings opened it’s doors in 1998, it’s a large residential six-bedroom detached house which is well-established in the community.

Chippings has a large, secluded and secure rear garden and is close to the town and all amenities and the clients have close links with the people of Horley.

All the people we support at Chippings have individual timetables which are structured to meet their individual needs. Chippings also has a sensory room which can be used by the people we support in our other nearby houses.

We have a long-standing team of experienced support workers who provide 24-hour care, supporting people with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, and mental health.

All colleagues are PROACT-SCIPr-UK® trained. PROACT-SCIPr-UK® is a ‘whole approach’ to working with adults with learning disabilities. It follows the positive behaviour support model and focuses on proactive methods to avoid triggers which may lead to behavioural challenges.

“I enjoy living at Chippings. I like my bedroom, going to college and trampolining. I also enjoy doing my paper round”
– Kumi
