All rooms have either a washbasin or an en-suite bathroom. There are large communal areas comprising of two lounges, a dining room and a kitchen.

The site is beautiful and when you look out of the windows the grounds are alive with wildlife.

People who live here are supported on a 24hr basis, having 1:1 support throughout the day and are supported 2:1 when accessing the community. At night we have 2 waking night staff.

We have a dedicated team; some of our colleagues have been here for over 13 years gaining a wealth of experience and some have just started their journey in the care sector.

All our colleagues have varied backgrounds but all have the same values and passions. We believe in supporting those who use our services in a person-centred way and our aim is to one day get them ready for independent living by empowering and promoting their independence.

We support people with varied tasks and activities ranging from personal care and preparing meals to supporting them on their chosen holidays.

Individuals enjoy different activities such as sensory drives, lunches out, personal shopping and attending college weekly. We believe they should all live a meaningful and productive life.

Summer time consists of BBQ’s with other homes on site, day trips to the nearby seaside towns, holidays and walks across the beautiful fields surrounding us.

Winter time we have movie days, indoor activities such arts and crafts, along with all the regular activities such as lunches out and cinema trips.

The self-contained annexes are ideally suited to individuals who require more privacy and space but they receive on-going 1:1 support from the staff team.

The main building is extremely spacious with large bedrooms, two of which are on the first floor and one on the ground level which makes it suitable for a wide mix of people. This unit has its own secure garden surrounding the property.

We have many colleagues in the Oak who have worked there for a very long time with ivolve and know those who use our services very well; we also have colleagues who have only been with us for a few months but have fitted in with the team very well and work towards the same goals, supporting people to flourish.

The people who live here are fun characters who are very capable in many respects, but are supported by caring people who help them reach their true potential by doing meaningful activities and making new friends.

Although some individuals are working towards independent living, there are some that aren’t capable of doing so but we still encourage their own independence at all times and support them to do so.

Throughout the year, people take part in excellent, enjoyable activities which they choose themselves such as bowling, cinema, swimming, zoo trips and indoor activities such as arts and crafts, games and sensory toys, movie and pub nights.

We hold amazing parties for individuals to get together and enjoy, such as summer fetes, Hallowe’en and Christmas parties plus BBQ’s.
