
Blamsters Farm
Our Blamsters farm site is a residential service comprised of a number of smaller properties on a single setting, all of which are linked to the main farm building. The properties on the complex are the Farmhouse, Green, Oak, Lodge, Bungalow, Cottage and Coach House. Each of the residential services are described in further detail below.
Blamsters Farmhouse is a 4-bed residential home located on the main Blamsters site, just a short walk from Halstead town centre.
All rooms have either a washbasin or an en-suite bathroom. There are large communal areas comprising of two lounges, a dining room and a kitchen.
The site is beautiful and when you look out of the windows the grounds are alive with wildlife.
People who live here are supported on a 24hr basis, having 1:1 support throughout the day and are supported 2:1 when accessing the community. At night we have 2 waking night staff.
We have a dedicated team; some of our colleagues have been here for over 13 years gaining a wealth of experience and some have just started their journey in the care sector.
All our colleagues have varied backgrounds but all have the same values and passions. We believe in supporting those who use our services in a person-centred way and our aim is to one day get them ready for independent living by empowering and promoting their independence.
We support people with varied tasks and activities ranging from personal care and preparing meals to supporting them on their chosen holidays.
Individuals enjoy different activities such as sensory drives, lunches out, personal shopping and attending college weekly. We believe they should all live a meaningful and productive life.
Summer time consists of BBQ’s with other homes on site, day trips to the nearby seaside towns, holidays and walks across the beautiful fields surrounding us.
Winter time we have movie days, indoor activities such arts and crafts, along with all the regular activities such as lunches out and cinema trips.
All year round we all look forward to special occasion parties such as birthdays, Hallowe’en, Easter egg hunts, firework night and Christmas time!
Blamsters Green
Blamsters Green is a modern converted barn, surrounded by countryside. It was built on one level and was designed specifically for ivolve.
We provide residential support to eight individuals living in self-contained annexes, which have been adapted to suit their individual and complex needs.
The individual suites comprise of lounge (some with kitchenettes), bedroom and en-suite bathroom. There is also shared access to communal areas of the home, including kitchen, lounge and a spacious enclosed garden.
Blamsters Green is a predominately non-verbal service providing specialist support to people with severe learning disabilities, autism, Down syndrome and epilepsy with complex behavioural needs.
With this in mind, Blamsters Green has a passionate and professional staff team with varying experience and skill base providing only the very best support for the individuals. Colleagues at Blamsters Green are dedicated to providing a safe, caring environment that is effective and responsive to every individual’s needs.
All activities and support with daily living tasks have been carefully planned and agreed based on the respect for each individual’s values and choices, ensuring the support provided is person-centred and the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.
Those residing at Blamsters Green are supported to book and go on their annual holidays, visit local clubs, cafes and bars, attend swimming, bowling, cinema trips, railway museums.
They are also supported to maintain family contact with frequent visits home or on trips out with family.
Blamsters Oak
Blamsters Oak is a converted barn and has three bedrooms in the main part of the building and four adjoining self-contained one-person suites.
The self-contained annexes are ideally suited to individuals who require more privacy and space but they receive on-going 1:1 support from the staff team.
The main building is extremely spacious with large bedrooms, two of which are on the first floor and one on the ground level which makes it suitable for a wide mix of people. This unit has its own secure garden surrounding the property.
We have many colleagues in the Oak who have worked there for a very long time with ivolve and know those who use our services very well; we also have colleagues who have only been with us for a few months but have fitted in with the team very well and work towards the same goals, supporting people to flourish.
The people who live here are fun characters who are very capable in many respects, but are supported by caring people who help them reach their true potential by doing meaningful activities and making new friends.
Throughout the year, people take part in excellent, enjoyable activities which they choose themselves such as bowling, cinema, swimming, zoo trips and indoor activities such as arts and crafts, games and sensory toys, movie and pub nights.
We hold amazing parties for individuals to get together and enjoy, such as summer fetes, Hallowe’en and Christmas parties plus BBQ’s.
They also get involved with activities such as promoting drinking water during Hydration Week; they all get involved in making the posters, getting the event ready and taking part.
Blamsters Lodge
Blamsters Lodge is a four-bedroom residential home on the main Blamsters site. The two-storey building is situated on the site of the former cart lodge and stables and has a communal kitchen, utility room and lounge.
It is a lovely site, teeming with wildlife in the beautiful grounds, and is walking distance to Halstead town centre.
People here are supported on a 24 hour basis, having 1:1 support throughout the day; during the night we have 2 awake nights staff. When accessing the community, they are supported on a 2:1 basis.
We have a dedicated team, some of our staff have been here for many years gaining a wealth of experience and some have just started their journey in the care sector. All of our staff team have varied backgrounds but all with the same values and passions.
Blamsters Bungalow
Blamsters Bungalow is a three bed residential home. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and there is a communal bathroom.
The lounge, dining room and kitchen are shared. It has a separate enclosed garden and patio area and is staffed 24 hours a day, including night staff.
Colleagues in the Bungalow have varied skills; some have had years of experience and some are just starting out. The one thing we all have in common is giving the best care in a person-centred way. Nothing is too much for our team!
It is based in very quiet and picturesque grounds, surrounded by other Blamsters services.
Blamsters Cottage
Blamsters Cottage is a 2-bed residential home, connected to Blamsters Farm House, just a short walk from Halstead town centre.
The site is beautiful and when you look out of the windows the grounds are alive with wildlife.
The people who use our services are each supported on a 1:1 basis with sleep night support.
All colleagues have varied backgrounds but all have the same values and passions.
We believe in supporting people in a person-centred way and our aim is to one day prepare them for independent living by empowering and promoting their independence.
The Coach House at Blamsters Farm
The Coach House at Blamsters Farm has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and private lounges but shared kitchen facilities.
The people who live here have learning disabilities and complex needs and are supported on a 24-hour basis.
This house is staffed during the day and shares night staff with Blamsters Cottage.
