Set within the wider Blamsters community, Blamsters Bungalow is a warm, accessible, CQC-rated Good residential home in Halstead, supporting three adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory needs, epilepsy and complex health needs.
Designed with occupational therapy input, the newly renovated bungalow offers three spacious bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and dining area, a shared lounge, laundry room and a peaceful garden. Separate bath and shower rooms, including an adapted bath seat, help make everyday routines safer and more comfortable.
Life here is shaped around each person. Colleagues with Makaton knowledge support communication, choice and meaningful involvement, while Strive, our model of support, helps people build confidence and work towards goals that matter to them. Specialist Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and a multidisciplinary team approach bring additional expertise, creating thoughtful, joined-up support within a home surrounded by fields, woodland and the welcoming town of Halstead.
