Basford is in NG5, close to lots of community facilities including local shops, a gym, sporting facilities, and cafes. The service is also close to Parkhall Country Park and a golf course. There are regular buses and trams into Nottingham City Centre and the surrounding area.

Basford is a specialist residential service for adult females with Mental Illness who may have dual diagnoses and associated complex needs.

The service provides a large communal lounge, conservatory, kitchen and dining area with access to a large garden complete with benches and seating areas. All bedrooms are at ground floor level and there is a communal bathroom in addition to the ensuite shower rooms.

Activities include developing new skills at Clarendon College which is just a short walk away or one of the local arts and crafts centres in Sherwood, as well as e-learning in the service. There’s also the chance to get involved with gardening, decorating, and planning and organising the household.
