Alverthorpe SL is a warm, supported living home in a peaceful residential area of Wakefield, offering three self-contained flats for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs who want to live more independently.
Each flat includes a private kitchen, bathroom and living space, creating the freedom of independent living alongside the reassurance of on-site support. The environment is calm, safe and adaptable, with intercom access and the option for assistive technology to support changing needs over time.
Life at Alverthorpe SL is shaped around each individual and guided by our Strive model of support, with a strong focus on Active Support and Positive Behaviour Support. This approach helps people build everyday skills, confidence and meaningful routines at their own pace.
With access to Alverthorpe residential home on the same site, there’s added reassurance and a strong sense of community, supporting people to take their next step forward with confidence.
