Huntington’s Disease
We provide specialist support for adults living with Huntington’s disease, helping people maintain dignity and quality of life as their needs change.
Our homes offer compassionate, structured support that adapts, helping people feel safe and supported at every stage of their journey.
Specialist support for Huntington’s disease
Huntington’s Disease is a rare, inherited neurological condition that gradually affects movement, cognition and emotional wellbeing.
In the UK, around 8,000 people are currently living with Huntington’s disease, with many more family members affected by the genetic condition.
Because Huntington’s affects both physical health and behaviour, specialist environments and knowledgeable teams are essential.
There are only 13 homes in the UK accredited by the Huntington’s Disease Association (HDA) for their expertise in supporting people with the condition. Of the 13, we’re proud that 4 of these are ivolve nursing homes in Wales.
Living Options
Huntington’s disease symptoms often develop slowly and change over time, meaning people may require different levels of support as the condition progresses.
Supported Living
Some people live in our supported living homes, where they receive flexible support while maintaining familiar routines.
Residential Care Homes
Others benefit from residential care in a shared environment, where consistent support helps people feel safe, settled and supported.
Complex Nursing Homes
In Wales, we provide specialist nursing support for people with neurological needs, offering clinical expertise alongside daily care.
Huntington’s support at ivolve
Our Huntington’s support combines neurological expertise, compassionate care and meaningful daily structure through our Strive model and iStrive pathways.
As the condition progresses, our teams adapt support to ensure people continue to feel safe, engaged and connected.
